Dear Just Notes, I found your wonderful Blog today. It is almost literature. I linked it to my Blog "www.persian-cat.de". Would be an honour, if you did the same. I wish you all the best, and very much understand your feelings of beeing not at home and not away. I also spend 5 years abroad, after 1989 east-germany broke down. The only thing that helps the feeling of beeing lost: Stay open minded, look for the few interesting and nice people that you will find everywhere. Try to find out what the new place can give you (music, arts, literature, cinema, museums, architecture, New York City is full of that). I'm sure you will find your place.
